Find Friends On Google+

Google+ is spreading-expanding and reaching out at a rate that is maddening. Everybody, who's anybody, is on Google+. So are you, and you are faced with two questions, related totally to the 'social' part of G+:
How can I find this person I am looking for?
Well, that is the main reason you are on Google+ after all, to find people and connect with them and catch up. Or you can find interesting people that you have admired from a distance, and now you have the chance to interact with them-all you have to do- Plus One them!
Ah, the issues that come with going social! Well, we will try to sort out the above issue. Finding friends is easy!
Google+ has more than 10 million users, and close to 20 million now! So there is a good chance that the person you want to find is pretty much on Plus. So, here is what you have to do:
On the home page, in the search option, type the person's name. And you will be prompted by results of all the users. Not just common friends, but everyone.
This means that even if the person you are looking for does not have anyone from your Circles in his Circles- Or does not have -location-work profile-or anything else common with anyone from your Circles, you can still find them, as they will show up in the search results.
The Google+ search bar will prompt their names regardless of any connection with your Google profile. So, just key in the name.
Now, the results will show- the picture of the person, their name- and profile information. This profile information will be picked from their bio. It may be their Network name or a gist of their bio. This information will really help you in knowing whether a person is the one you are looking for or not?
Another way of finding people on Google+ is through this very aptly named website Find People On Plus.com.
This is a search directory of all the people on Google+. You can see the obvious celebrities on the forefront. The rest you can search for by the categories on the left navigation. You can search by
Country
City
Relationship
Gender- Looking For
Following A Certain Number Of People
Have As Followers A Certain Number of People
Occupation
The website is an excellent source of statistics about Google+ too. Every category mentioned has the number of users in the same mentioned. Interesting numbers on the percentage of men/women on Google+ (71% men-28% women), the most popular occupation (Technological fields) and which country has the maximum numbers of people on Google+ (United States Of America).
So, just take any of the above mentioned routes and you will come across the people you want to 'Plus' on Google+.
